Japan Loves Gears of War 3 Too!
We don't often report on review scores from other publications, but one set of scores for Gears of War 3 stood out to me, and I felt the need to share it with you tonight.
Andriasang reports that Famitsu, one of the biggest gaming publications in Japan, gave Gears of War 3 a near-perfect score. Of its four reviewers, three gifted the game a 10/10 with the fourth springing for a still-awesome 9/10. The reviewers praised the game for its graphics, story, and robust multiplayer options.
This may not seem like "news," per se, and it's not, but it does break the stereotype that Japanese gamers aren't remotely interested in Western-developed titles, shooters, or Xbox 360 games. It's great to see that games like this can still be appreciated -- at least critically -- in Japan.
...But we're still probably not going to enjoy the next Monster Hunter game. Sorry, guys.
