The lights are on
Update: The statue is now available for pre-order, and like most of First 4 Figures statues comes in two versions. The image above is the standard version, which is limited to 1,500 units and carries a sticker price of $424.99. First 4 Figures hopes to ship this statue in the second quarter of 2012. The "exclusive" edition, which features a bronze finish (and looks a bit odd, in my opinion), is limited to 50 units and is a bit more expensive at $449.99.
Original Story: The teaser image above gives a small taste of a statue Zelda fans have been demanding for years. First 4 Figures plans to show the full statue tomorrow on its website, but has dropped a few hints about what fans can expect from it. Just know this: It's huge. First 4 Figures says it is the heaviest and largest sculpt they've ever made (17 inches tall and 16 inches from front to back). This sculpt is based off of the character models from Twilight Princess.
Along with the full unveiling, pre-orders will begin tomorrow. Given the size of this statue, I'm guessing we'll be looking at $300 plus. Start smashing those pots, Zelda fans. You're going to need every rupee you can find to add this beauty to your collection.

That statue is massive. I suspect it will be equally as awesome.
With the games coming out this Fall who has money for a statue that is going to cost several hundred dollars? Whoever does, I envy you!
I want it, but not for $3oo. That's insane.
Alas.. if only I was sick with consumerism like I was months ago when I had expendable income.. alas.. alas?
Yeah really, I'd kill to have them but for $300 there's so much more that needs to be taken care of nowadays, not the least of which is the incredible lineup coming out this season.
i might not get this, just because its really expensive.
If only cost wasn't an issue.
I wonder if anyone realizes it won't come out for a while, giving people plenty of time to save up.
You could buy a CONSOLE for the amount of money this thing costs. Why do people even consider these things. :/
alreadt getting metal sonic
O_O its beautiful, But $300+. . makes me a saaad panda.
I would love to see a 3D image of Link and his trusty horse Epona before slapping some cash down. I hope they did a good job, big Zelda fan.
That's awesome but where the he'll would I put it.
That looks beyond awesome, I think I will be preordering this tonight!
regular one is better hands down.
This statue is really cool but I want the Shadow Link one. Too bad they're probably already sold out since they took pre-orders way back.
Sigh. Yeah, the first edition is much better. The bronze eyes look more akin to Dark Link-type ebilness. EBIL!!!
why do people charge so much for a freaking statue? Don't they realize most gamers would rather spend that money on a game system? (like the one the next zelda game will be on...)
How does his hat stay on?
300. . . . I could buy a PS3 <_<
