Update: Take A Look At First 4 Figures' Zelda & Epona Statue

Update: The statue is now available for pre-order, and like most of First 4 Figures statues comes in two versions. The image above is the standard version, which is limited to 1,500 units and carries a sticker price of $424.99. First 4 Figures hopes to ship this statue in the second quarter of 2012. The "exclusive" edition, which features a bronze finish (and looks a bit odd, in my opinion), is limited to 50 units and is a bit more expensive at $449.99.

Original Story: The teaser image above gives a small taste of a statue Zelda fans have been demanding for years. First 4 Figures plans to show the full statue tomorrow on its website, but has dropped a few hints about what fans can expect from it. Just know this: It's huge. First 4 Figures says it is the heaviest and largest sculpt they've ever made (17 inches tall and 16 inches from front to back). This sculpt is based off of the character models from Twilight Princess.

Along with the full unveiling, pre-orders will begin tomorrow. Given the size of this statue, I'm guessing we'll be looking at $300 plus. Start smashing those pots, Zelda fans. You're going to need every rupee you can find to add this beauty to your collection.

  • Link Riding A Horsy!!!! I might sell my kidney for that.
  • This would be pretty cool to own, but... $300+? I can buy plenty of other, more important things with that kind of money, unless... I'll be right back. I'm going to break into a few peoples' houses and see if their pots have some extra cash in them.
  • I'd drop 300 dollars for something amazing in a heartbeat, I haven't even played many zelda games (particularly in recent years), but thats just awesome.

I'd prefer a young link with some mask's hanging from the saddle.

I suppose I'll also need to upgrade from my adult wallet.....

EDIT: I'm buying that looks epic
  • EPONA! How I've longed for you...I told my sister to name her horse after you...

  • Looks like an awesome sculpt, Fantastic work!

  • More than 300 beans? That's a lotta moola!

  • Too much money for something that's too big to put anywhere reasonable.

EDIT: $425?!?! WAY too much money for that's too big to put anywhere reasonable.

I agree the bronze finish does look strange on Link, especially because it makes the Master Sword gold and blanks out his eyes. It looks pretty cool on Epona, though. I like the black mane.

Also, that Darunia statue on their website is awesome. I usually don't care about these things. I think they're a waste of money because they're too expensive, but I love me some Zelda and that one is sweet.
  • Meeee waaaannnnnttt!! Someone needs to buy this for me.

  • Nice to have, but too expensive and More importantly too big to display since I'm not a collectable person who keeps things in the box.

  • Hmm ... I just got $1000 from my uncle. I have been looking for something to spend it on for about a week now and I think I just found it.
  • His eyes look so cool.

  • Why must they make things that I can not have?!
  • Mod

I will be there bright and early to pre order. I saw this late last week, it is going to be amazing.

  • SO...MUCH...MONEY!!! MUST...RESIST...BUYING!!!!

  • Sheesh, and I thought I overpaid when I dropped $80 on a link action figure.

  • jejeje... this is a funny teaser. XD

  • why are these so expensive? just the teaser looks amazing!

  • If only the Skyrim dragon statue was that big.

  • This is the Zelda statue I've been holding out for. Will have to pre-order first thing tomorrow. I will happily pay the $300, or more, it will likely cost.
  • DERP, so expensive, but do want...
