Music Festival Coming To Xbox Live

by Jeff Cork on Sep 19, 2011 at 09:03 AM

Radio giant Clear Channel is hosting its iHeartRadio Music Festival in a few days, bringing together acts as diverse as Lady Gaga, Jay-Z, Steven Tyler, and Rascal Flatts. If you didn't score tickets to the live event, never fear. You'll be able to stream the entire event in HD from the comfort of your living room/basement/connected RV. That is, you'll be able to do so if you're an Xbox Live member.

“Since we announced the Festival in July, listener demand has been unprecedented, with fans across the country clamoring for a chance to be part of the biggest live concert in radio history, a show that sold out in just ten minutes,” said Bob Pittman, Chairman of Media and Entertainment Platforms for Clear Channel. “This partnership with Xbox 360 means that those who cannot be in Las Vegas in person will have the opportunity to experience the event as well through an HD video stream exclusively on Xbox Live.”

To check out the event on September 23 and 24, Xbox Live users just need to sign into their account and then access the HD stream that will appear on the dashboard free of charge.
