Fifth Resident Evil Film To Include Barry And Leon

by Tim Turi on Sep 19, 2011 at 10:20 AM

Director of the Resident Evil movies, Paul S. Anderson, has incorporated fan requests for the upcoming fifth movie, Resident Evil: Retribution. His wife and star of the series, Milla Jovovich, recently shared some tweets which reveal the new additions to the cast as well as the setting and biological threat.

Fans of awkward voice-acting and altar boy hairdos will be pleased to learn that S.T.A.R.S. weapons expert Barry Burton and RPD officer Leon S. Kenney have roles in the film. Ada Wong is also set to join the cast, labeled as an “organization” agent. I'll leave it up to you to guess how many double-crosses she throws down. Jovovich also revealed that the movie will take place in Japan, and that the Las Plagas infection from RE 4 will be the main threat.

This movie is set to star bizarro versions Chris & Clair Redfield, Jill Valentine, Albert Wesker, Barry Burton, Leon S. Kennedy, and Ada Wong. I haven’t been a big fan of Anderson’s RE films, but this all star cast has me intrigued. It’s due to hit theaters on September 14, 2012.
