Three-Minute Avengers Video Leaks On YouTube

by Andrew Reiner on Sep 17, 2011 at 03:32 PM

On August 9, THQ announced the closing of two studios in Australia, one of which was the Brisbane developer rumored to be creating on a video game adaptation of Marvel Comics' The Avengers. Work on the project apparently ceased at this point, and its current status is anyone's guess. A video showing this game in its pre-alpha stage surfaced on YouTube today. Don't be surprised if it gets yanked down within the next hour or two.

As you can see, the video shows off the different first person move sets for Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, and The Hulk. If this footage is legit, I gotta say, it's a shame that THQ Brisbane didn't get to finish it up. Playing as The Hulk from this perspective looks mighty fun. I also hate the Skrulls and wouldn't mind beating the snot out of a few thousand of them.

I don't know if THQ will ever come forward to address this leak. There's also a chance it could be fake, although someone would be crazy to put this much work into it.
