Dark Link Statue Shipping Next Week!
UPDATE: The wait is almost over, Zelda fans! I received an email from First 4 Figures earlier today that said that my statue would ship out next week. As soon as it shows up in the office, I'll throw up a follow-up story with unboxing shots.
ORIGINAL STORY: Earlier this morning I heard a woman scream from the dark recesses of the Game Informer office. Upon further inspection I learned that scream came from Game Informer's own Jeff Akervik, our most devout Zelda fan and only male soprano. This was his response to someone telling him that First 4 Figures made its upcoming Dark Link figure available for pre-order.
First 4 Figures is offering two versions of this statue: the standard edition for $169.99, and the "Exclusive" version that features light-up eyes for $189.99. Only 500 units of the Exclusive edition are being made. Jeff and I have already claimed two of them. The standard edition is limited to 2,500 units.
Both statues stand in at 12 inches in height and will be available in the third quarter of this year. Pre-orders started today. I'm guessing the Exclusive model will be sold out by the end of the week.
