The lights are on
Video games often have an accompanying score CD that features music from the game, but Batman: Arkham City is getting 12 new tracks from a variety of bands. Take a listen to one of them now.
IGN debuted Coheed and Cambria's new song "Deranged" today. After listening to the track, it sounds like it'll appeal to fans of the band with a lot of Coheed's signature harmonies and dark tones. There's even a Joker-esque laugh sprinkled in there somewhere.
What do you think? Any other songs from the album you're looking forward to hearing when it drops on October 4?

One more time!!!
17 listens later...
not bad actually.... kinda cool (if only because it has something to do with Batman). This song suits the game/character well. It really sounds like the Joker is singing it lol.
Now.... back to the new Dream Theater album.
I so wanna play this game which I hope we get some type of demo before it comes out.
Well first off, Coheed is not emo. When Claudio writes he's mostly writing a story with small hints of his personal life. He's not confessing suicidal tendencies, or complaining about his life, girlfriend, friends etc. Emo is more Taking Back Sunday, New Found Glory, or The Starting Line. And all these people saying "Coheed sucks", or "I hate this band", if this song is actually in the game you'll hear it enough to where you'll start liking it. Why don't you guys open your minds and your ears and appreciate all music for what it really is: Creative expression. You may never change your minds about them, some people just can't get into it, but you could actually listen to the song and read the lyrics, giving it a chance before you turn it away. And as all mothers say, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all."
Why is PC Version out on the 11/01/11 instead of 10/18/11?
