Fallout: New Vegas' Fourth DLC Pack Is Downright Apocalyptic

Bethesda and Obsidian are releasing the fourth add-on for Fallout: New Vegas next week, and they've sent out a trailer to get players up to speed. Lonesome Road follows the story of the first Courier Six, a mysterious man named Ulysses. He refused to take the Platinum Chip delivery mission, which set the events of the main game in motion. He's willing to tell you why, too, but first you'll have to track him down.

Of course, it won't be as easy as simply wandering into a remote watering hole and buying him a Nuka Cola or two. Ulysses is holed up in the Divide, a section of the wasteland ravaged by storms and earthquakes. As you can see in the trailer below, there are plenty of hostiles in the area, too. It's probably one of the most interesting downloads that's hit New Vegas, and it has a significantly darker tone than its predecessors. Those shots of missiles firing into the air certainly seem to indicate that people aren't so great at taking lessons from history, too.

Lonesome Road will be available on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on September 20 for $9.99/800 Microsoft Points.

  • This looks really good.

  • People still play this?
  • Well I've neglected to buy the last two DLC's but this one makes me want to go back to New Vegas.
  • I'm skeptical to buy these dlc for fallout. I bought some of them for fallout 3 but then the game got so horribly buggy it was not fun anymore. The bug that annoyed the most was the one that prevented me from getting crits when I shot people in the head, even if I was hiding >.<
  • This trailer does a very good job of actually showing a post-apocalyptic world. I might get my very first feeling of survival in this DLC...and only in this DLC.

  • This dlc looks like it's gonna be good and worth it. The last 2 have been, but the first one wasn't good at all.
  • Man, I just sold my copy...but i never got into DLC for games anyway...i should start
  • Looks good, but unfortunately looks like it won't be funny like the 3rd dlc
  • Actually looks pretty good. Besides I need the extra 5 levels so I can get jury rigging. The bad thing why the hell it comes out on GOW3 release date. Stupid. Ill buy it tuesday, but I wont play it for a while.
  • looks great!  I"m wondering if all the dlc is going to be released together at a discount.

  • I think I'll pass. Skyrim's release is getting closer and closer, as well as the BF3 beta and TOR. It doesn't really sound too interesting anyway. I think Obsidian should stop doing DLCs for NV though, because, let's face it - it's a lot of money to shell out for one game, once you get the DLCs which add less content than quite a few *free* mods. They should instead concentrate on a new (bug-less, please!) project.
  • Yes, im so excited for the DLC! Ive always loved the Fallout DLC's and im definitely gonna pick up this. This will allow you to continue youre save from the main quest correct?
  • armored vault 21 jumpsuit eh

  • Haven't tried any DLC for New Vegas yet. Which is the best?
  • I've been waiting for this one for a while now!
  • Awesome trailer, cant wait to play it.
  • I'm so excited for this.
