The lights are on
Sony has successfully built up a lot of hype for its new handheld, the PlayStation Vita. Now we know that the system will arrive this year in one territory at least.
At its Tokyo Game Show press conference, Sony announced that the Vita will launch first in Japan on December 17. The publisher has not yet provided a release date for the handheld in Europe or North America, though at this point 2012 seems almost certain.
Sony also announced that they will be partnering with Japanese communications company ntt Docomo for the 3G version of the Vita in Japan. Docomo will allow users to pre-pay for a set number of hours using the system. At E3, Sony announced that they will be partnering with AT&T in the U.S.
It needs to hurry up and hit the US
I'm looking forward to getting one of these. I'll wait for a bit though and let them work out the bugs that every system has at launch.
@Cody Gilley, Right?! One of the reasons I got rid of my pspgo was because of fingerprints.
Well, it'd sure be nice to have this before Holiday, but its a good move to push it past the juggernaut Modern Warfares, Skyrims, Assassin's Creeds, Zeldas, and Battlefields...I guess you can say that about everything being delayed
GAHHHH I HATE REGIONS!!!
Just take my money already Sony....
AT&T we meet again
I just want to see one in my hands to get the feel of the system. It has overly peaked my interest and I just want to be able to know if it is worth a dam before I deiced to get one.
I thought the 3DS was going to be worth it but then I was able to look at one for 5 seconds and realized it wasn't.
I'll actually be in Japan during the release so I'm hoping I can actually get my hands on one!
BUT WHEN DOES IT COME OUT IN AUSTRALIA????
Fantastic! Should be Q1 2012 when it's released in the states then. Not too long now.
