The lights are on
A Los Angeles judge has set a May 7, 2012 trial date for the grievances between Call of Duty creators Jason West and Vince Zampella and their former employers at Activision. The pair are seeking $125 million of unpaid Modern Warfare royalties as well as an annulment of their contract with Activision, which would make them co-owners of the Modern Warfare intellectual property. Activision, for its part, is seeking $400 million in damages as part of its counter-claim that Electronic Arts and the Creative Artists Agency conspired with West and Zampella to break their then-current deal with Activision."I’m really looking forward to having our day in Court," Zampella said. This is destined to be a huge deal one way or the other, depending on how the judge rules. We'll find out next year.[via Forbes]
Is there a good outcome to be had? Seems like a crapshoot to me.
i see this going for w/z because activision was in complete breach of their contract. Espescially seeing as mw3 is actually coming out.
Wow, just when you think this has dragged on for too long... Lets add another year to this BS story.
This will be very interesting to see who comes out on top.
I don't care about all this court stuff... Tell me when that Respawn game is coming out!
GET'EM ZAMPELLA!!! GET'EM GOOD!!!
remember that activsion blizzard is vivendi's ... and it consist of the most powerfull jews in U.S ... zampella and west should watch their back :D
As Demon said above, I don't see this going to well for West and Zampella. Even though I would personally love it if it did.
