The lights are on
If you're a big fan of Minecraft, developer Mojang has just given you yet another reason to try to make it to MineCon, the Minecraft-centric convention that will begin on November 18 in Las Vegas.
IGN reports that amongst the swag being offered to MineCon attendees is one very nice virtual prize: alpha codes providing early access to Scrolls and Cobalt, the next two Mojang games, as soon as they are available.
This bonus does come at a cost, of course. Tickets to MineCon are currently selling for $99 until the end of this month, at which point they'll jump up to $139. Anyone planning to hit Vegas in November to celebrate their Minecraft love?
I am so excited for this I got my tickets hotel room and everything like a week ago and its going to be awesome!!!!
So November 18 is when Minecraft comes out for real? Because this expo is to celebrate the release.
Phil, my man, you are working it today... a news story at 5 AM and now this..., we love you for it... but take a break dude!
I wish I could go so bad!
I might go since i live in vegas.
Haven't heard of Cobalt before.
I would love to go but, like most fans I presume, I don't have the disposable skrilla to be able to go. I'm looking forward to some possible news about their next two games though.
Meh.
Awesome
Guess who really wants to go... If you guessed it was me, congratulations, you are correct!
I love minecraft and all but i won't go to the convention that is just way too much dedication. That and im in college at the moment and therefore by default poor
