Rumor: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer Details Leak
Activision is hosting a Call of Duty fan fest on September 2nd and 3rd in Los Angeles. Attendees can get their hands on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 early, and it looks like at least one person has already done so. A YouTube video (which has already been taken down) has surfaced revealing some of the game's multiplayer details.
SFX-360 reports that the video, taken from the Xbox 360 version of the game, didn't show any gameplay, but was instead footage of someone scrolling around the game's multiplayer menus. What this revealed is that at least some of the maps or modes will feature 32-players.
It also listed 13 maps: Carbon, Coast, Dome, Exchange, Hardhat, Interchange, Lambeth, Meteora, Mogadishu, Paris, Plaza, Radar, and Seatown. It's not known if these are all the multiplayer maps in the final retail game.
Finally, the video also showed a new multiplayer mode called Bomb mode.
We contacted an Activision spokesperson about the matter, but they replied that the company doesn't comment on rumor or speculation.
