The lights are on
Gears of War 3 drops Sept. 20, but Microsoft and Epic Games want you
to think even further ahead. The game will have a variety of
post-release DLC, and players who purchase the game's newly announced
Season Pass will get access to the first four add-ons as well as an
exclusive Liquid Metal weapons set.
The Season Pass will
set you back 2,400 Microsoft, or about $30, saving players who buy it 33
percent over the cost of buying each DLC pack individually. The pass
will be available the day the game launches. There's no word on what the
upcoming DLC will include, but Microsoft says the first pack will go
live this November.
What do you think? Do you plan on buying the
content sight unseen anyway, or would you rather wait to see what you're
buying before you commit to this kind of package deal?

Some companies you know that every DLC that comes out will be at least enjoyable, and with others you have to hold back and see. The problem here is that Microsoft is usually one of the later type, but they're just publishing here so you have to wonder which way will this one go? Epic is usually good to the fans but who knows how much pull M$ will have over the monitization on the backend.
This is a nice move by Epic / Microsoft. Let people who were going to buy all the DLC for the game, get it at a special discount. Maybe other companies should start doing something similar.
the dlc better be worth it. wish COD would do this
I gotta say is a good deal but i might hold off til i see the first DLC pack.
I need to see all the numbers... See how much this will save/set me back.
i wont buy any DLc after Gears 2 seperated the maps/gametypes the way they did. I have to pick from the maps i specifically want to play, i'd rather it be random so I don't get so tired of them
This is going to be the first Gears of War game I buy so I am going to have to try it out first before I buy this bundle to make sure I actually like the game. Hopefully it is still available when the game comes out.
When I find out all that it will/may involve, I'll see. I can buy the game, and I WILL buy the game, and be happy. I would love to see some single player DLC and not just Horde or MP.
I'll probably end up getting it anyway. So why not get it early at a discount? I'll get it, assuming i have enough MP.
That balding lumix up there is SURPRISINGLY one of the reasons I am less intrigued by the offer. I guess I just don't like to pretend I am an ugly goofball when I play video games.
I'd prefer knowing what I'm paying for before laying down money, regardless how much I'd be saving for paying all of it off.
