Forza 4 Achievement List Leaks, Kinect Required For Max Score

The complete list of Achievements for Microsoft's Forza Motorsport 4 has leaked, and it looks like you're going to have to spring for Kinect to max out your Gamerscore on the highly anticipated racing title.

The website Xbox 360 Achievements broke the story, publishing a complete list of every achievement for Forza 4. It didn't take long for observant readers to notice an Achievement entitled  "Look Ma, No Controller!" with the description: "Use Kinect to drive any car in Free Play."

It's a five-point Achievement, so not having a Kinect won't cost you serious Gamerscore, but its certainly annoying for completists who haven't purchased the motion controller.

  • Dumb, but it wouldn't be the first time that Microsoft prevented people from getting all achievements without peripherals.
  • This list has been on x360a for a while now.

  • KILL THE KINECT!!!!! MAKE IT GO AWAY!!!! IT'S JUST A GLORIFIED EYETOY!!!! As you can probably tell, I don't like the Kinect.
  • Bucket List and Driver Level 50... uuuuughhh
  • that is total crap. Kinect is so F---ing stupid, why the hell would you wanna use complicated hand gestures to play a game?
  • "Star In A Reasonably Priced Car"... epic. I love Top Gear.
  • Well thankfully for me I've never been much of an achievement *** outside of Halo 3 where it was the only way to get all of the armor.

Though that does suck for everyone who does.

  • Not a huge fan of either, but I gotta ask: Why do people hate it. I understand its a gimmick and it is going to have a short life, but why hate on it?

    Wait a second...*flameshield activated*...Ok, go.

  • If I cared about Achievement Points, I'd be hella mad about needed Kinect to get the max.  I'm not, so it doesn't effect me.  But I can see this being a new trend.  And until there are games I really want on Kinect, I'm not getting one.

  • I wonder how many people will spend 5o+ bucks to get 5g also I walked past a kinect in best buy and I was pretty far back and the kinect picked up my movements so not good if I use it and I want a snack

  • This is fine, I never maxed my gamerscore on 3 anyway. Got close, but yea, don't care too much. Game looks great!

  • Wow, so now we have games that do NOT require Kinect to play, yet prevent players from earning all achievements if they do not spring for the $150 piece of plastic called "Kinect". Just when I thought I couldn't get angrier at some of the crap Microsoft pulls.... Now I refuse to buy Kinect on principal alone. **** that stupid piece of plastic. This is almost as bad as locking away most of the achievements behind a terrible multiplayer portion of a game.
  • I wasn't too impressed with this game at E3

  • At least is just one achievement unlike most games where almost half of the achievements have to be earned while playing online, and I don't play online because xbox live is not free, so they are cheating me on all those points because I don't want to connect the xbox to the internet

  • I hate Kinect and PS Move. Just give me a normal controller and let me play my games in peace.
  • Meh, it's only 5G and I hardly ever max out my gamerscore anyways. Not a loss for me, but it does suck for the people who go all out on gamerscores.

  • Well, that sucks, trying to make you buy a Kincect. Wow they really want it to sell. :/ At least I'm prepared if they do anything like this on the PS3, since I got the Move (haven't used it yet, came bundled in with my PS3 and since it was the 320GB which I got for the same price I would've gotten the 160GB for it was a no-brainer :P).
  • Its an imperfect solution to an imperfect situation. Some people bought Kinect, now there is an achievement for those people. Makes the purchase seem more worthwhile (not just cause of one achievement, but for other games doing the same thing). On the other hand, you have people like me who don't have the Kinect and so can't perfect the game. Still, if its just one, its not so bad. Rainbow Six: Vegas had a similar achievement, and other games have done it as well.

Its still better than crappy MP achievements.

  • got them all in Forza 3
