New Vegas' Lonesome Road DLC Now Coming In September

by Jeff Cork on Aug 25, 2011 at 03:29 AM

Fallout fans got some disappointing news a few weeks back, when Bethesda announced that the latest DLC pack for the game, Lonesome Road, wouldn't be making its originally scheduled release. Instead of coming out in August, the add-on was delayed indefinitely. Today, the publisher announced an official release date for Lonesome Road.

Lonesome Road will be available for download on Xbox Live, the PlayStation Network, and Steam on Sept. 20. The DLC tells the story of Ulysses, a courier who refused to deliver the platinum chip that set the events of Fallout: New Vegas in motion. Players can pry the story out of him with a caveat: first, they'll have to travel to the Divide, an area that's been ravaged by years of earthquakes and storms.

In addition to providing a concrete release date for Lonesome Road, Bethesda announce a pair of other, smaller downloads. Courier's Stash gives players who didn't preorder the game the chance to enjoy those early bird bonuses. That includes the Caravan Pack, Classic Pack, Mercenary Pack, and Tribal Pack. Gun Runner's Arsenal adds new unique weapons and new weapon mods, ammo types, and recipes to the game. Courier's Stash will be available for 160 Microsoft Points/$1.99, and Gun Runner's Arsenal is priced at 320 Microsoft Points/$3.99. Both of those downloads will go live Sept. 27.
