ESPN Launches New Features On Xbox Live

by Matt Bertz on Aug 25, 2011 at 10:00 AM

The ESPN update launching today allows sports fans to keep tabs on their favorite teams, watch two events at once, and navigate via Kinect-enabled voice controls.

Just in time for the NCAA football season, fans will have more ways than ever before to stay abreast of league happenings. The My Sports interface allows you to choose your favorite teams, among other things.

The update also includes a mini-guide for quick navigation, a live college football scoreboard, the ESPN BottomLine news ticker, plus reminders and live alerts that keep you up to date on score changes. I dig these additions, but what I really want is split screen functionality that allows me to play a video game while watching a live sporting event at the same time. Too much?

If you've already played with the new features, post your impressions below.
