[Original Story]:On September 6, Del Rey and LucasBooks will release a special 20th anniversary edition of Timothy Zahn's incredible Star Wars: Heir to the Empire. This new edition features annotations from Zahn and a new novella focusing on Grand Admiral Thrawn.
Almost every editor in the Game Informer office has read this book, and all conversations about it beginning with the phrase: "This is the trilogy George Lucas should have filmed instead of Episodes I-III."
To see what all the praise is about, you can read the second chapter for yourself below. Leave a comment with your impressions, and on Friday (August 26), we'll pick three lucky winners to receive a free copy of the book.
Email the author Andrew Reiner, or follow on Twitter, Facebook, and Game Informer.
cool
looks really awesome! I love the classic Star Wars films, and this seems like a great story! Hope i win!
nice, i might have to buy this book if i don't win
Great read for the first chapter, I can only expect the rest of the book to be just as great.
Even through text, Han is just an awesome character.
seems like a good read. im an avid reader and a huge star wars fan. i can thank my mom for being a star wars fan, she got me the original trilogy for christmas when i was 3.
Nice, I must agree hearing the story about the aftermath of the empires defeat and death of the sith lord would have been a better trilogy. But also it might have been harder to make and for fans to accept since Harrison Ford was a Boss as Han Solo, but now I want to read this book!
hmmm.... Re-releasing modern classics is great idea
Star Wars is pretty sweet. Can I have a book? =D
Somehow I missed these books originally even if I don't win definitely checking it out when it releases.
