Dynamic Sonics Duo Returns To NBA Jam

Seattle Supersonics legends Gary Payton and Shawn Kemp are rekindling their amazing chemistry in NBA Jam: On Fire Edition.

Why is this big news? With The Glove's strong perimeter game and Reign Man's dominance in the paint, this pair was one of the most formidable teams in the classic NBA Jam: Tournament Edition.

If you're a PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 owner, look for the downloadable NBA Jam: On Fire Edition in your respective digital marketplace this October. To learn more about the game and its new modes, check out this trailer.

  • What the HELL is wrong with their heads?
  • I liked TE for Bulls+ Rodman, but like Tosh, I was like "wtf Horace Grant and Pippen?!" when the first Jam came out.

    And like I always do on these stories;

    obligatory request that EA stop dicking around with this tired old franchise and resume work on NBA Street, which went out after the best game in the series for some reason. Can't be sales, Homecourt came out with Platinum/Greatest hits editions SKUs, so... ? It's not like the 2010's are less (annoyingly) enamored with being 'extreme' so Street should still fit that line of thinking.

  • It's also a big deal because the Seattle Supersonics don't exist anymore.
  • The graphics look really weird.
  • The best duo was The Grandma and Mourning.
  • I remember when those two rocked the key arena....yeah going to have to get this game now

  • Wait so does that make 3 NBA Jams or only 2?
  • he's on fire!!

  • Wow, talk about a slow news day.
