Sony Drops PS3 Price To $249

Have you held out on buying a PlayStation 3? Maybe you're looking for a spare to put in your bathroom. Whatever the case, now you've got a good reason to consider picking one up. Sony announced today during its Gamescom 2011 press conference that the PS3's price tag is having $50 sheered off of it.

Previously priced at $299, you can now score the cutting edge gaming console/Blu-Ray player for $249. That's the same price as a PS Vita. Though it wasn't officially stated, we're assuming this pertains to the 160 gigabyte model.
