The lights are on
Ex-Oasis songwriter and occasional singer Noel Gallagher's not totally sure what's to blame for the London riots, but he thinks he has a good idea.
"I can't understand where their energy for these riots is coming from," he told Bang Showbiz. "We live in this age of violence – and I don't care what other people say: Brutal TV and brutal video games are a reason for this pointless violence as well. The people are immune to violence, they are used to it. And if they get caught they aren't punished the right way. The prisons are already full? Then build new ones!"
Hopefully nobody turns around and blames Gallagher for exhorting "you might as well do the white line" in his song "Cigarettes and Alcohol" for any subsequent drug-induced madness. As a massive Oasis fan, I admit I've never done anything illegal as a result of the Gallagher brothers, although they did get me to buy a string of records with diminishing returns.

Thats the media for you, always looking for someone or something to blame it on. Whiles he's at it why doesn't he blame himself for making *** music about drugs and alcohol which are known to cause violent rages.
Yeah, because there has never been riots or violence before video games and t.v.
I just love it when celebrities think they know everything!
Yeah, right. There's millions of gamers who play brutal games and act normal. If you respond to it by going on a killing spree that means there was something wrong with you to begin with.
"Hopefully nobody turns around and blames Gallagher for exhorting "you might as well do the white line" in his song "Cigarettes and Alcohol" for any subsequent drug-induced madness."
I believe you meant to say "Hopefully nobody looks back in anger and blames Gallagher..."
He is a ***.
Sigh. At least he didn't single games out.
Noel Gallagher= ***
Just like Call of Duty was responsible for WWII...
I just want to know how does television and video games and I guess I need to put movies and music have effect to the violence in the world? Do people really think the media today is like some kind of mind controller or something that lets you have a wild imagination put into the REAL world where unicorns, fairies, and half-naked ladies come to help you make crack cocaine in your kitchen; while suddenly a group of cops bust open your door to arrest, but that no problem, because you have guns with unlimited ammo and if you just so happen to be killed by a cop, no to worry, because you return back healthy as an ox and as if nothing ever happen. -_-
NOOOOOOO!!!! BUT OASIS IS SOOO GOOD!
You know, I just don't care anymore what people say about video games. It's all getting kinda old and repetitive now.
Noel Gallagher can go Champagne Supernova himself in his Wonderwall for all I care.
Oasis was always terrible.....this shows how much of a dinosaur he is....no one is completely immune to brutality...
