The lights are on
Ex-Oasis songwriter and occasional singer Noel Gallagher's not totally sure what's to blame for the London riots, but he thinks he has a good idea.
"I can't understand where their energy for these riots is coming from," he told Bang Showbiz. "We live in this age of violence – and I don't care what other people say: Brutal TV and brutal video games are a reason for this pointless violence as well. The people are immune to violence, they are used to it. And if they get caught they aren't punished the right way. The prisons are already full? Then build new ones!"
Hopefully nobody turns around and blames Gallagher for exhorting "you might as well do the white line" in his song "Cigarettes and Alcohol" for any subsequent drug-induced madness. As a massive Oasis fan, I admit I've never done anything illegal as a result of the Gallagher brothers, although they did get me to buy a string of records with diminishing returns.

Gallagher is always spouting off nonsense. No one should listen to this idiot.
Oh yeah Noel Gallager the famous psychologist that was in that band that was "bigger than the beatles" who where "more famous than christ"
Oasis was an awesome band, especially in the 90s. Wonderwall!!!!!!!
Every thing in Londontown was fine and dandy until some noob got fragged by a camper in Call of Duty. Yep. There was no violence on Earth until video games came and wrecked our utopia. By the by, shouldn't Noel be too busy plagiarizing another Beatles track to do interviews?
i have never even herd about this guy before all he is doing is trying to get into the newspaper
and I'm sure he blames his brother for his run-of-the-mill song writing.
Build new prisons , I lol'd You're the voice of a generation Noel , maybe not this generation but one of them
He's right. Nobody was violent before Pong. How does nobody else realize this? He may be the only sane person in this mad, mad, mad world.
In other news, after watching Aladdin I have this strange urge to usurp some Saudi kingdom. Anybody else?
"Brutal London Rioters" are to blame for brutal London riots. I do agree that subsituting accountability for some hazy media-induced brainwashing theory probably helps stuff like this.
This guy's always been a Dick.
really, so i guess the Riots in the 1980s were caused by Full house, Family Matters, and Pac-Man.
Right video games and TV shows, How about parenting?
Oh oh, this just in: Following the European release of "Dead Rising", we have the first recorded incident of a British person beating a countryman with a Cricket bat.
"No one on this Island thought of doing that before that horrible, horrible game" says witness.
