The lights are on
Get ready to watch some of the greatest television shows of all time from the comfort of your console.
At a company earnings call today, Time Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes confirmed that the popular streaming service would expand its reach from web browsers and mobile devices to connected televisions and game consoles.
Why is this such awesome news? Instead of dealing with the quixotic grab bag of non-consecutive episodes provided by Comcast and DirecTV's on-demand services, you can watch every single episode of every HBO original series at any time. If you haven't watched them already, we suggest you start with Deadwood, The Wire, and Game of Thrones.
No time table has been announced, but we'd be surprised if the service didn't launch on consoles within a year or so. Although there are no price details at this time, given that the service is free to HBO subscribers on other platforms, we expect the same for consoles.

OOh well i can definitely dig this new addition :-D
I am very psyched for this. There are plenty of good series that I've missed that I can now check out without needing cable! (great for this struggling college kid)
Awesome:)
The tag line for this article should read: Omar Commin' (to consoles)

Yes! I was hoping this would have been announced at E3, but oh well. Cannot wait to watch Deadwood again, and now my brother can see why The Wire makes other crime dramas look so lame. Watching on my laptop was just not doing it.
yo im good on soft core porn GTFO HBO
Awesome! I tried it on my PC but I couldn't really go to full screen because the frame rate was choppy.
