The lights are on
While EA has yet to make any official announcements, numerous sources indicate that EA's free-running action game will return.
It's becoming hard to dismiss as a rumor. Mirror's Edge is almost certainly under production at EA, and will utilize the DICE's Frostbite 2 engine -- the same engine that powers upcoming Battlefield 3. Official PlayStation Magazine recently reported on insider info to that effect, compounding similar reports from an interview that GameTrailers completed with EA president Frank Gibeau.
It's exciting news for fans of the original game. Many players found Mirror's Edge offered a play experience unlike anything else on the market. It will be exciting to see if EA can further evolve the franchise with a second installment. Would you play a sequel?

Heck yes. If you end up achieving the "flow" that the game talks about, running, fighting, and jumping become part of an unending adrenaline rush that spirals into a great experience.
Sequel should only be better.
I would totally play the sequel. The first had its problems, but the freshness outweighed them for me.
I loved this first one it was amazing, yes it had it's flaws but what game doesn't? :)
Time to carry on with Faith towards the future.
Gamescom would be an EXCELLENT place to reveal it
Considering the plot holes, I'd like a sequel. But they'll need to do alot in terms of gameplay to make me REALLY want a sequel.
Mirrors Edge 2.. with Frostbite 2.. HELL YES!
Ithought, I heard they were making one a long time ago?
I think it was in an issue of GI.
I would love another mirrors, what other game features blue, speed and platforming?
I would definitely play as long as the combat is improved.
Sequel!? Hell ya! I'd love to play another Mirror's Edge, especially with improvements on the mechanics.
I'd play the sequel in a heartbeat. Mirror's Edge is one of the most memorable games I've played this generation, and I would love more.
Really hope it does not veer too far from the original style.
They can get ride of the cartoon cut-scenes and add in gun play, but please still have plenty of amazing urban traversal and CQC.
Definitely......One of the best games yet
I'd definately play a Mirror's Edge sequel! The first was a blast!!
God, haters gonna hate, but I loved the first game.
Sure the story was so bad it was ridiculous but WHO CARES the gameplay was so schweet. And it looked so pwerty!
I'm guessing the buzz from the latest Amazing Spider Man trailer kinda pumped up interest in Mirror's Edge in general.
id play but they would have to have a better story and better combat and NO CARTOON CUTSCENES, especially ones where shes just running for a while and then ends.
Ab-so-loot-lee! Mirror's edge was ahead of its time. LOOK AT NEW SPIDERMAN FOR CRIPE SAKE.
