The lights are on
While EA has yet to make any official announcements, numerous sources indicate that EA's free-running action game will return.
It's becoming hard to dismiss as a rumor. Mirror's Edge is almost certainly under production at EA, and will utilize the DICE's Frostbite 2 engine -- the same engine that powers upcoming Battlefield 3. Official PlayStation Magazine recently reported on insider info to that effect, compounding similar reports from an interview that GameTrailers completed with EA president Frank Gibeau.
It's exciting news for fans of the original game. Many players found Mirror's Edge offered a play experience unlike anything else on the market. It will be exciting to see if EA can further evolve the franchise with a second installment. Would you play a sequel?

I was never interested in the first, so I don't know what to think about a sequel.
Yes. YES. MY GOD, YES.
If they polished it more and possibly made it more open instead of linear, it could really turn out to be a great game.
I wouldn't just play a sequel, I'd pre-order it.
O my god yes!!!!!
If there are fewer spots where the Player is like "wft do I do now?" (which happened a million times) and made it longer, I'm all for it.
Its good to c Ea putting effort into more innovative franchise, rather than activsion putting effort in the call of duties so they can run it into the ground
they should make it for the ps vita. now THATS a good idea.
WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOO YES! made a sucky week better.
I could not get over the comicbook cutscenes. but then again I only played for the first 3 hours. Also, with titles like GOW and DAO at the time, I couldn't get into it. Maybe if this one looks better I'll pick it up.
HELL YEAH I WOULD!!!
The first game is underrated beyond belief. Even though it was like five hours, I got at least 30 hours out of it. A longer, polished, advanced, smoother, customizable Mirror's Edge sequel would be like Cinnamon Toast Crunch raining from the sky with unicorns befriending everybody in the world having us make a new sport, "Unicorn Jousting."
In other words, it would be pretty cool.
As long as they have multiple ways to solve the navigation, I'm down.
I loved Mirrors Edge, it was a game that actually had originality and wasn't just a generic shooter. It did have problems though and hopefully DICE (assuming that they are the devs) will fix the faults in any upcoming sequel.
mirrors edge was amazing, just to short, and to much shooters. The early levels are the best because there isnt that much shooting at all
EA just needs to announce this game already.
