Report: Disney Interested In Purchasing El Shaddai Publisher Ignition?
Despite mostly withdrawing from the console video game business in favor of social gaming, Disney is still interested making waves. The company reportedly is interested in buying UTV, the Indian parent company of El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron (shown) and Deadly Premonition publisher Ignition.
Reuters has the news, and it looks like Disney, who already owns 50.4 of UTV's shares, plans to buy and delist the rest. Analysts say that Disney is looking to expand its presence in India with the move. Given Disney's previous pullout from traditional console gaming, what it plans to do with Ignition remains to be seen.
