Kinectimals' menagerie is expanding in an unusual direction this fall. When you consider that the first game let players dink around with a variety of jungle cats, perhaps today's news isn't completely shocking. Bears are coming to the world of Kinectimals, through the imaginatively titled Kinectimals Now With Bears.

The game, which will be available as a standalone retail disc or as DLC for the original title, adds a new island and five ursine pals. The available bears include black bears, cinnamon bears, grizzly bears, glacier bears, and polar bears. Oddly, there's no mention of a panda, despite it appearing on the box and in the screen above. It's likely that it could be a special fur variant for people who scan in the bar code that accompanies one of the Kinectimals (ahem) plush pals stuffed animals.

If you purchase the standalone disc for $49.99, you also get all of the content from the original Kinectimals. Otherwise, the Bear Island add-on will set you back $14.99.
