From Dust Delayed On PC

by Matt Miller on Jul 25, 2011 at 11:10 AM

The XBLA Summer of Arcade version of the game is still on track, but PC players will have to wait nearly a month.

The news comes via a post at Joystiq, where the website spoke with Ubisoft and learned that the PC version of the upcoming god game will release on August 17th. Meanwhile, the 360 release is still planned for this Wednesday.

It's unfortunate news (especially for PC players), but not particularly surprising. Microsoft seems to like to keep the Summer of Arcade games as exclusives on 360 whenever possible, or at least have them as timed exclusives. A similar event happened last year with Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, which released first as part of 360's Summer of Arcade, and several weeks later on PC and PSN.

From Dust was originally announced for PS3 as well, but there's no current word on a release date for that system.

Are you going to play Ubisoft's From Dust? On which platform do you hope to create all those volcanoes and rivers?
