Super-Rare Signed Copy Of Tetris Now Available...For $1 Million
I'm always surprised by the prices hardcore collectors will pay for rare games, but this one really takes the cake. An eBay seller wants to pass on a copy of the already incredibly rare Mega Drive version of Tetris, which is made even more desirable thanks to a signature from the game's creator, Alexey Pajitnov. The asking price? Why, $1 million, of course.
You can check out the auction on eBay, where seller "shinsnk" is seeking the whopping figure despite having bought the gift for a mere 11,000 Euros (around $15,000) a few years back. To the seller's credit, GameSetWatch reports that there are "less than ten copies" of this version of Tetris known to exist today. That coupled with the autograph means it may just be worth quite a bit.
If you don't think it's worth the full million, the seller is open to taking the best offer, but two offers over $20,000 have reportedly been rejected already. How high would you be willing to go for a piece of gaming history this rare?
