Pre-order Halo Anniversary Edition, Snag A Set Of Armor

by Jeff Cork on Jul 18, 2011 at 04:21 AM

This November, Halo fanatics will be able to step back to where it all began, with the release of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. If the idea of experiencing the landmark console shooter in a full HD remake doesn't grab you, maybe these pre-order bonuses will. Players who plunk down their cash early will get a suit of MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor for their avatar, as well as a game-changing skull.

The Grunt Funeral skull changes the way the grunts die. Instead of falling down squealing, when the skull is activated each grunt's methane tank explodes when they're killed. Microsoft says players should be on the lookout for chain reactions. Knowing how grunts have a tendency to cluster up together, this skull should create plenty of hilarious mayhem.

In other news, 343 Industries will be hosting a special Halo panel at San Diego Comic-Con. It's taking place Friday, July 22, at the San Diego Convention Center, Room 6BCF. Everything from the game's history to what's ahead will be fair game at the panel, so check it out if you have a chance.

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary ships November 15 for $39.99.
