Battlefield 3's Battlelog Spotted In The Wild

by Matt Bertz on Jul 15, 2011 at 08:03 AM

Thanks to a leak from a German gaming site, we have our first glimpse of Battlefield 3's new Battlelog stat and progression tracker.

The leaked images (which you can check out below) show a system that looks like a cross between the stat tracking in Battlefield 2 and the Autolog system introduced in Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit. In addition to showing your ranking, accuracy, time played, score-per-minute rating, and kill-death ratio, there appears to be tabs that break down your performance with individual weapons and vehicles, plus an awards showcase. Like the Autolog service, there appears to be a robust social component to the service as well, with a friends list and a Facebook-like Wall and instant messaging support.

When we reached out to Electronic Arts to see if these leaked images were fakes, we received a boilerplate "no comment" response. These screens are obviously from the PC version of the game. Hopefully we'll get a glimpse of the console version when DICE officially debuts Battlelog.
