Weekend Warrior 07/08/11

by Annette Gonzalez on Jul 08, 2011 at 02:00 PM

Find out what games we're kicking back with this weekend, then share your gaming plans in the comments section!

Kato: Like you I've been getting excited for Skyrim, and so I've decided to go back and play Elder Scrolls IV. I've started IV a couple times but never finished it, so perhaps this is the time that I actually do. Or perhaps decide it's just not for me. Then again, I don't necessarily think that not finishing IV would have a bearing on Skyrim. I think I'm going to pick that up regardless.

Getting some good steam on L.A. Noire recently, so I'd like to think that I could finish it this weekend, but who knows. I'm also kicking around the idea of re-starting an NHL 11 franchise to reflect the recent Burns/Setoguchi, Havlat/Heatley, new-look Wild, but that would just be pathetic.

Jeff C: My plan for the weekend is to keep plugging away at EDF. I'm having a great time with it and the inferno difficulty is getting more managable. After that, it's back to Pinball Fx and...the Sims 3. What the?!

Tim: This weekend is a busy one. I’m enlisting in the Earth Defense Force. I’m digging to the depths of Terraria. I’m boning my way through hell in Shadows of the Damned. And I’ll hopefully be obliterating tubes in my custom Trench.

Annette:
I have a friend in town this weekend, so I won't have much time to take a deep plunge into gaming. I will however spend whatever extra time I do have in the downloadable space by continuing Trenched and From Dust.

Jeff M: I still can't seem to get back into L.A. Noire, Dead Rising 2, or Half-Life 2: Episode 2 right now, so I think I'm going to change it up with something completely different. Maybe I'll return to Fallout 3 and roam around the wasteland a little more, or finally start Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. Or maybe I'll just play more Pinball FX 2.

Phil: I'm out of town most of this weekend at a wedding, so what little game time I can get in will have to be of the mobile/handheld variety. I'm thinking of starting up A Monster Tale on DS finally, and I'll try to continue my slooooow playthrough of Final Fantasy III on iPad. When I get home on Sunday, I'm going to continue my replay of Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, which I've been meaning to go through again for quite a while now.

That's it for us. What are you playing this weekend?
