Kojima And Suda 51 Team Up For "Sdatcher"

by Bryan Vore on Jul 08, 2011 at 06:45 AM

Hideo Kojima revealed in his latest podcast that his next project is a team up with Suda 51 for Sdatcher. Sorry, it's not a game, but an old fashioned radio drama.

According to Famitsu (and translated by Andriasang), the strangely spelled Sdatcher is set in the Snatcher world. Kojima's original game came out in 1988 in Japan on the MSX 2 and was finally brought to North America in 1994 on Sega CD. The game's cult fanbase has been hoping for a sequel ever since. This may be as close as it gets. And there's no indication if it will ever be translated into English.

Kojima will be handling directing and "drama planning" while Suda 51 will write the script.
