EA Announces Burnout Crash! For XBLA/PSN

Electronic Arts and developer Criterion have announced what has been talked about for a while: Burnout Crash! for XBLA and PSN.

While the Burnout series has grown from its roots, some fans have been wanting a return of the franchise's famous Crash mode. They are going to get that with Burnout Crash! – a downloadable game.

The game comes out this fall, and will feature the classic Crash mode where you are rewarded for causing the most mayhem on intersection set pieces. Crash! features three game modes, 18 intersections in six locations, unlockable vehicles, multiplayer, and Autolog technology.

Xbox 360/Kinect owners will also be able to use the peripheral in an exclusive mode where two players can compete against each other on the same TV.

While fans may cheer the return of Crash mode, it's not how you remembered it. This game uses a top-down view for the crashes, which is different than the mode's traditional third-person cam.
