The lights are on
If you're dying to play a Kinect game but don't have the recommended six feet of space the body-scanning peripheral requires, you might be in luck. Today Nyko has announced a price and release date for a new peripheral that makes gaming in smaller rooms possible.
Nyko Zoom is a clip-on lens that the company says will cut Kinect's space requirements by 40%. It will sell for $30, and was nominated by a number of outlets for Best Hardware of Show at this year's E3. We didn't get a chance to check it out, but if it does what Nyko claims, it seems like a no-brainer for Kinect owners who lack six feet of empty space in their living rooms...which we're guessing is just about everyone?
Nyko Zoom will be available in all major retail outlets on August 23.
