The lights are on
If you're looking forward to Skyrim, you don't want to miss this. The creative team has answered 25 fan questions covering a broad spectrum of topics, from nit-picky specifics to more general info.
The Q&A, posted on Bethesda's blog, features Todd Howard (game director), Bruce Nesmith, (lead designer), and Matt Carofano (lead artist) fielding questions from gamers who are clearly hardcore fans of the series.
Honestly, you should probably read all 25 responses, but a few highlights include:
Personally, I'm a little disappointed by the decision to keep the old "restore your magic weapon by refilling it with soul gems" mechanic, but other than that, this Q&A leaves me more excited for Skyrim than ever.

Sweet, good news all around. Coulda gone without the soul gems, but that's ok.
Tavern brawls sound like they're gonna be fun, I just hope they don't ditch unarmed as a combat option outside of these brawls. I have fond memories in Oblivion of slugging it out with ogres and trolls and I think if they work on it a bit unarmed can be just as viable as swords or magic.
Either way it looks like it's gonna be a great game, I can't wait.
Well Joe think of it this way, you can have soul trap out in one hand ready and an axe in the other(or w/e weapon you prefer).
That was a great Q&A but I am wondering about marriage now, while I think it's cool what with you being able to have jobs and stuff but I hope there is same-sex marriage as that would suit me perfectly. :)
Evey times newe ingo comes outt i get all jitteruy.

I found the whole soul gems thing annoying too. It might be a robust mechanic, but it's a very regular and irritating one. I don't want to be forced to use the *** things just because I want the best base damage bow in the game.
This is going to be great!
Really Cant Wait Now!
No destructable enviroments. kinda removes some of my hype towards dragons. it wouldve been cool if they can burn down entire houses.
That's cool. Hopefully being married doesn't just mean there's someone standing in your house now.
cant wait for this game it looks spectacular
This game will make everything else so....meh..back to Skyrim :)
