Professor Layton Film Coming To North America
Viz Media has announced that it will be distributing the 2009 film Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva in North America. The film has been released elsewhere in both subtitled and dubbed versions, but this marks the first time the film will be officially available stateside.
Viz made the announcement at the 2011 Anime Expo, saying that it will be available sometime this year.
The film takes place three years before the events of the game Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box. It centers on a mysterious opera singer and a quest for eternal life, and it incorporates some of the puzzles that fans of the games have grown to expect.
