Celebrate The Weekend With Massive Gears 2 XP Weekend
If you're looking for an excuse to play some Gears of War 2 this weekend, Epic Games has a pretty compelling incentive: From now until July 5, players will earn 21 times the regular experience, in addition to a few other significant tweaks.
From now until 9 a.m. Eastern on July 5, players will get that 21 times XP boost, in addition to grabbing four times as much ammo for the Hammer of Dawn and mortar weapons, tickers, boomers, and flaming bloodmounts. It should definitely be an explosive weekend.
If you're wondering where the 21 multiplier comes from, it's half the age of Epic's Joe Graf, who is celebrating his birthday.
Gears of War 3 comes out September 20, so enjoy Gears 2 while people are still playing it.
