Report: Crysis Coming To 360, PS3

That unending font of release leaks that we know and love as the ESRB has a listing up for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the original Crysis, which has never appeared on console. The first leak came out of South Korea's rating agency this time, though, so it's a little different.

Industrious fans at the MyCrysis community forums stumbled upon a listing at the website of the Korean GRB (Game Rating Board). Our own ESRB also lists 360 and PS3 as approved platforms for Crysis' M for Mature rating. Publisher Electronic Arts hasn't announced anything officially, but an ESRB listing like this almost always means that a game is coming.

While Crysis 2 is by all accounts a better game in most respects, fans should be glad at the chance to play the original. It's a solid game by any standard, with some standout moments that you won't forget.

  • Im sure it wont look as good as on PC, but im fairly certain my computers prehistoric so i wont complain.
  • SWEET! first?
  • Well that's a shocker.

  • Sounds epic. Crysis really knows(FIRST!) how to speak to their audience. I also sense a collection coming in the near future
  • I love my life.

  • Pretty cool, I wonder how well the consoles will be able to pull off the zero-g level. That level was so shockingly beautiful, nothing has equaled it yet in my eyes. It just blew me away at the time.
  • Interesting... IGN says the listing only shows the Xbox 360 version of the game but on a Korean rating board, and GI says they list both on ESRB? Who to trust?
  • VERY cool news. Congrats to everyone who has yet to play the original due to lack of gaming PC.

  • wasnt 2 on the systems?thats pretty backwards

  • Im sorry i think you made a typo right there. "While Crysis 2 is by all accounts a better game in most respects, " Corrected "While Crysis 2 is by all accounts a better game for console players in most respects"
  • I like this news quite a bit.

  • This would have been great news in 2007

  • Awesome! I hope they keep it up-scaled to it's awesome PC graphics quality when it gets ported over. Kindof odd they did this after the release of Crysis 2 though. Still cool though.
  • I never played the first Crysis now I can.

  • You think anyone ever cites, "Via GameInformer"?
  • it better be around the $40 price mark. this games pretty old but still stoked for it

  • That's cool, I actually quite enjoyed Crysis 2 but never played the first one.

  • Well they just removed half of the features that made it great. It's the first game any pc gamer would install, it's prestigious, even after 4 years. Also, Crysis 1 was a better game ;). Screw corridor shooting, I want my island!

  • That's good. I had it for PC but my machine couldn't run it. Maybe this will give me a chance to play it.
