The lights are on
Though Crytek formally denounced rumors that the company is working on Timesplitters 4 for the next generation Xbox console, co-founder Anvi Yerli says a new game in the series is still on the table.
When Crytek acquired former developer Free Radical in 2009 and renamed it Crytek UK, the company also received rights to all of the studio's intellectual property. Though no one is champing at the bit to see a Haze sequel, the well regarded Timesplitters series may still have value. That begs the question – what does Crytek plan to do with the series?
"Obviously Timesplitters, historically, was for them [Crytek UK] an important IP," Yerli told NowGamer. "From our perspective we always had a lot of fun playing
Timesplitters – Timesplitters 2 was amazing fun. Crytek and Crytek UK
are interested in the IP; we are thinking about it but we’re trying to
decide what we could do best with the IP, where we could bring it. There
are no concrete plans yet."
When NowGamer asked if an HD collection of the previous titles could be in the works, Yerli said, "That’s a good idea! [laughs] There are indeed a lot of games
doing it but we haven’t thought about that yet. But it’s a good idea..."
What's your take? Are you interested in another Timesplitters game or would you rather the team work on something else?

I rather see a TimeSplitters 4 than Haze 2. An HD collection of Timeslpitters 1-3 would be nice.
I do not want an HD remake of this series. Come out with an entirely new Timesplitters that hopes to capture the magic of the first on. And please, go back to the original Harry Tipper!
God, I'm so sad I missed out on this game, sounds great...but I hope they don't F it up. And a HD remake would be amazing :D
I would love to see a new Timesplitters game. It was so much fun and the characters were so memorable.
timesplitters future perfect was one of my favorite games to play on gamecube, me and my friends would play the splitscreen for hours and hours, the amount of characters and guns was amazing and never got old. imagining this experience in a competitive online atmosphere would just be amazing and they would get my preorder as soon as ti was announced
A Collection would be the best idea. Then a seperate release for the new game.
At least a TS4 would be started from the ground up and have a better chance of being a good, polished game upon its release; rather than being partially developed, put in limbo for twelve years and then finally released without enough polish and being a HUGE disappointment to everyone but its hardest of the hardcore fans (looking at YOU, DNF)...
I would love nothing more than for them to re-master the original two.
Free Radical is what made Timesplitters great! Their charm and humor made the game. That and the stellar split-screen multiplayer that dominated my Gamecube! After what Crytek did with Crysis 2, I can't say I'm looking forward to this.
HD remake of the originals with a beta of Timesplitters 4.
I hope so, I loved Timesplitters. And I loved making my own maps. I would spend hours upon hours just making my own maps. I remember making a huge haunted house horror themed map with flickering lights, hidden tunnels, and even pits with spikes at the bottom. If they make another Timesplitters the custom map maker is a must have feature. Aswell as a more robust online so people all over the world can play your custom maps. Someone needs to tell Crytek. Make it happen ASAP!
If they made an HD collection I would buy it ASAP. Love Timesplitters, its one of the games I grew up with.
I am strongly against a re-launch of the old games. I'd like to play TS2 on my Xbox but if Free Radical isn't going to be behind the project I'm afraid of what will happen. As for that and TS4, I think ome of the original designers from Free Radical should aid in the process.
