Professor Layton Royale Heading To Japan
Level 5, the esteemed developer of the puzzling Professor Layton series, is joining forces with mobile developer DeNA to deliver Professor Layton Royale. The social game will arrive in Japan first, with the possibility of spreading West.
The mobile game is a crossover with Kaito Royale, an immensely popular Japanese game developed by DeNA. Similar to Kaito Royale, players will select one of three different classes in Professor Layton Royale. We're not sure how the class-based gameplay works in this new title, but in Kaito Royale you run a group of thieves that are trying to battle the social evils. Kaito Royale also contains micortransactions and perks for introducing friends to the game.
It’s good to see the Professor Layton series gaining even more traction after the announcement of the crossover with Phoneix Wright. Hopefully this new title spreads like wildfire and we can all give it a shot.
