Industry Analyst Predicts Over 1.5 Million In Duke Sales

by Matthew Kato on Jun 16, 2011 at 07:52 AM

Just about everyone has had a turn at kicking Duke Nukem Forever, but one man – whose name isn't Randy Pitchford – isn't predicting doom for the game.

Industry analyst Arvind Bhatia with Sterne Agee says that the game should sell between 1.5 and 2 million units, despite the bad reviews and what he admits are "mediocre" first-day sales. He even says that publisher 2K Games was conservative in its outlook for the title.

Bhatia insulates publisher 2K Games from the title, characterizing it as a one-off for the company since it wasn't on the hook for Duke's full development.
