Sarah Silverman And John C. Reilly Starring In CG Disney Video Game Movie

by Tim Turi on Jun 14, 2011 at 11:28 AM

Director Rich Moore (The Simpsons, Futurama, Drawn Together), is working on an animated Disney film titled Reboot Ralph. Ralph, voiced by John C. Reilly (Walk Hard, Step Brothers) is the bad guy in an 8-bit video game called Wreck-It Ralph. He wants to cast off the shackles of his role as heel and finally be the hero for once.

The good guy Ralph has been battling for years is Fix-It Felix, voiced by squeaky clean Jack McBrayer (30 Rock). During an adventure through an FPS, Ralph runs into Sergeant Calhoun, voiced by Jane Lynch (The 40 Year Old Virgin, Role Models), a rigid taskmaster. Somehow his time in the game goes awry, and Ralph unleashes a menace that could cripple the entire arcade. That’s when he joins up with Vanellope von Schweetz, voiced by Sarah Silverman (Mr. Show, The Sarah Silverman Program). Vanellope is a mischievous glitch from a kart racing game that could be the key to saving the arcade from certain doom.

You read that right; it’s a CG video game movie by a proven director starring talented actors and is being produced by the biggest name in animation. Let’s hope this works.
