[Update] Battlefield 3 Console Version Debuts On Jimmy Fallon This Week

Infinity Ward creative strategist Robert Bowling and film star Simon Pegg take to the small screen to demonstrate the next Call of Duty with late-night host and noted gaming enthusiast Jimmy Fallon tonight.

The rest of the week on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon looks like this:

  • Tuesday 6/14: Gears of War 3
  • Wednesday 6/15: Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
  • Thursday 6/16: Battlefield 3
  • Friday 6/17: Nintendo

The show to note in particular is Battlefield 3 on Thursday, during which EA will showcase the console version of the game for the first time.

Whatever you think of the guy's humor, Fallon always comes across as a genuine gamer who loves using his fame as a way to showcase games to mainstream audiences. You have to respect him for that.

  • I hope they give him new info about mw3

  • What are you kids laughing at? And if you say TV's Jimmy Fallon, I'll know you're lying...
  • Too bad the only good games hes doing is gears 3 and BF 3....id prefer something that isnt so bland like COD....such a cookie cutter game...Thatd be sick if he did Skyrim or Rage...

EDIT: I've never played uncharted so i cant judge it :p im sure itd be a good game though
  • MW3 lame, now Uncharted 3 and BF3 that is one lucky som biatch

  • Infinity Ward is so desperate to make a good game they have to rely on trying to rip on the games that are obviously better. They have never had a good game, and the only people that might have had a chance at making a good game left.
  • Uh, I thought that EA debuted the console version at e3?
  • Looks like I'll be DVRing Jimmy Fallon all this week. I can't stay up that late as I work at 5am mon-fri.
  • This looks cool, Jimmy old boy, you might have just gotten yourself another viewer. I don't know why I don't watch more of these light night shows, it's not like I'm not awake at that hour. They already showed the PS3 version of BF3 at E3 if I recall correctly, but it will be interesting to see what it looks like myself.
  • Big name games on a big name stage... wait at least part of that statement is true. Seriously I thought "J Fal" was dead unsettling news that he isn't. I'm just kidding Jimmy but seriously...
  • Uh oh S**T just got real!!!  This week went from cool to amazing.  I'm hyped about all these games, and finally seeing some console stuff from BF3 is a definite cherry on top :-D.

  • NOOOOOOOO I Have my midterm on thursday!!! Anyone know when his show is???
  • Looks like I'm going to watch this instead of Coco tonight...I feel like I'm betraying him :(

  • I would love to watch the battlefield show of this, but I am in Mexico. Anyone know where I can watch this on the internet?
  • Like Jimmy and like how he has taken gamers into his fold. Kudos!!!

  • Welp, I'm the glad the footage from the show will be available online the next day - havin' TV is for suckers!
  • I love Jimmy, probably for the fact that he does seem like a genuine gamer. I will definitely be watching on Thursday.

  • If you all want to sit through an hour of bad jokes delivered by a second rate actor and comedian who features the same tired interviews with the same tired celebrities for a 10 to 15 min segment featuring a cookie cutter demo and look of a game you probably already know way too much about be my guest. I might check out the BF3 footage on youtube but you couldn't pay me enough to watch that tool giggle and grin his way through 45 min of sheer crap.
