New Super Mario Bros. Mii Puts Players In The Game

by Jeff Marchiafava on Jun 07, 2011 at 07:14 AM

Reggie Fils-Aime announced that the new Super Mario Bros. game for Wii U will allow players to use their Mii characters in the game.

We don't know a whole lot else about the upcoming New Super Mario Bros. Mii; it looked a lot like New Super Mario Bros. Wii, but will let players use their Mii instead of Nintendo's normal characters. While people might not replace Mario with their Mii, it should come in handy for those playing as Luigi or the generic Toadstools, at least.

Additionally, Reggie revealed that the game can be played either on your television screen or on the Wii U controller's screen. What other ways the unit and controller will interact is unknown, but the other functionalities of the device have us intrigued. We'll bring you more on Mario Bros. and the Wii U after our trip to Nintendo's booth today!
