The lights are on
Reggie Fils-Aime announced that the new Super Mario Bros. game for Wii U will allow players to use their Mii characters in the game.
We don't know a whole lot else about the upcoming New Super Mario Bros. Mii; it looked a lot like New Super Mario Bros. Wii, but will let players use their Mii instead of Nintendo's normal characters. While people might not replace Mario with their Mii, it should come in handy for those playing as Luigi or the generic Toadstools, at least.
Additionally, Reggie revealed that the game can be played either on your television screen or on the Wii U controller's screen. What other ways the unit and controller will interact is unknown, but the other functionalities of the device have us intrigued. We'll bring you more on Mario Bros. and the Wii U after our trip to Nintendo's booth today!

Its a REALLY big controller
I couldn't help but laugh hysterically when I thought that Mii video was going to show the player sniping that one Mii's head off.
Mii's should not be on Mario its called New Super MArio Bros. not New Super Mii Bros.
BIG CONTROLLERS Mean
KIDS CANT PLAY LOL
That's cool.
It better have the Tanooki Suit I'll be kind of annoyed if they only put that in the Mario 3DS.
I thought the controller design would be really stupid, but seeing I think it might offer something new.
Super sweet
I'd really like to hear price points.
Pretty cool.
The heck, I don't want to see my stupid Mii in a game. I'm playing Mario to play as Mario.
Now Toad on the other hand... oh who am I kidding, I'd rather watch the old bugger get dropped off a cliff.
That is literally f*cking identical to New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Couldn't we get, oh, I dunno, a 3D platformer for WiiU? One that shows off its power?
I'm sure it will sell like crazy, but I have to admit that I'm not all that enthusiastic about this game. It just sounds like New Super Mario Bros. Wii with your Miis getting involved. Don't get me wrong, I loved that game, but I would like to see something a little different.
But who knows, maybe it really will have a lot more to offer though, I guess we will see.
Most expensive controller ever, yet I'm still intrigued. Go figure.
I'll stick to NSMB wii and play it on the u
UM...this sounds strange, I guess..or maybe it's just me.
