Ubisoft’s Inglourious Brothers In Arms Furious 4

by Ben Reeves on Jun 06, 2011 at 12:10 PM

At Ubisoft’s E3 2011 press conference, Gearbox president Randy Pitchford came on stage to talk about the next Brothers In Arms games, which takes the series in a whole new direction.

Pichford talked about Gearbox’s desire to push the WWII genre in a bold new direction, and based on what we’ve seen, the team is pulling it off. Brothers In Arms Furious 4 is a little bit like Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds and a lot like the zany humor found in Gearbox’s Borderlands. In the trailer, a group of four testosterone fueled U.S. soldiers shoot up a German bar, branding the state of Texas onto Nazi foreheads and spouting off lines like “It’s happy hour.” We don’t have much to go on yet, but based on what we’ve seen, we can’t wait to hear more.
