The lights are on
During the Microsoft press conference at E3, Peter Molyneux got on stage to announce a new Fable game for Kinect, Fable The Journey .
After a brief trailer, someone stepped onstage to demo the game. The sequence was brief, but during the demo we watched the player grab the reigns of a chariot and race up the side of the mountain, only to get hijacked by a bunch of goblin creatures. At this point, the demo shifted to combat. Using a variety of gestures, the player was able to caste several elemental spells. Near the end of the demo, the player even twirled his hands around to conjure an energy spear.
We don’t know much else about Fable The Journey right now, but we’ll hopefully get to check it out later in the week, so we’ll keep you posted.

Saw this on the telly. Fable in first person just seems really odd.
i looked like they just turned fable into a rail shooter with magic
This would be better without the Fable brand. A first person, on rails game isn't right for an adventure franchise like Fable.
I'm always up for more Fable. Now I just need to get a Kinect.
This could be pretty good, but I have to admit I feel a little out of the loop when it comes to this franchise; I haven't played a Fable since the first one on the original Xbox, lol. But from what I saw in the trailer, it looked pretty neat.
Maybe I should've kept my Kinect.
still haven't seen anything that makes me consider buying a Kinect. the core games that showed their use of it today just showed features that aren't necessary for the game.
Well I guess they screwed up the series enough so it can't get any worse with some gimmicky motion control...
I am very disappointed in what Microsoft has shown so far. So much emphasis on gimmicky Kinect features, so little emphasis on everything else. The only eye brow raiser for me was the Lara Croft game. Other than that, everything felt like a repeat of last year.
I am now very interested to see what Nintendo brings to the table. I think I will steer clear of Microsoft in the next gen.
Thouroughly dissapointed. That's all I have to say
not good from what i see it's just not fable to me
Interested. This is now on my radar.
Molyneux just will not give up on this series. Call it quits, Pete. Kinect is definitely not what you needed.
