Halo Remake Coming This Year

by Joe Juba on Jun 06, 2011 at 07:34 AM

Rumors of an HD remake of the original Halo have been flying around for months, but that didn't take away any of the thrill for fans when Microsoft officially unveiled Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary.

The Halo craze began 10 years ago, and Anniversary celebrates the milestone with a gorgeous high-definition look at the title that started it all. Microsoft touts Anniversary as "remade and remastered," so there may be a few scattered changes from the original (hopefully the Library), but fans can expect everything they loved to remain intact.

Anniversary features seven classic multiplayer maps, co-op, and plenty of noticeable visual improvements. For anyone who hasn't played the first Halo, this looks like a great place to start. However, it also looks like a faithful re-visitation for fans who know the original inside and out. Either way, you can join the fight on November 15 this year.
