The Last 10 Games I Played...In Haiku Form

by Jeff Cork on May 30, 2011 at 04:36 AM

The other day, I was perusing the list of games I'd most recently played on my 360. I thought it might be fun to write mini reviews for each of them, but then I realized that I am lazy. As a compromise between writing mini reviews and writing absolutely nothing, I decided to sum up my thoughts and experiences on each game in a tidy haiku format. Check out the results, and then share yours in the comments. If you don't know what a haiku is...well, go here first. And then be sure to stay in school.

Without further ado, here is my art:

Pinball FX 2
One of these damned days
I'll knock him off his high horse.
Marchiafava.

Sega Dreamcast Collection

Aging well is tough
Look at me and Ulala.
This interface sucks.

Arkanoid Live!
Wait, I bought this game?
Why am I not playing it?
Now I remember.

L.A. Noire
Picking up some trash
like Shenmue with fedoras
but without Hang-On.

LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean

Look, a minikit!
Oh, I don't have the right guy.
I am a sucker.

Feeding Frenzy 2

Parenting ProTip:
Give your kids a controller,
they'll think they're playing.

Band Hero

Playing this again
reminded me of a girl
who let herself go.

Naughty Bear
This is a strange one.
It's just like a slasher flick
only without boobs.

Shaun White Skateboarding
Why's this game so cheap?
Oh, de Blob plus Tony Hawk?
You can't win 'em all.

Carnival Games

My son likes this game.
He says it's a lot of fun.
But he's only four.
