Obama Receives The Witcher 2 From Polish Prime Minister

President Barack Obama is touring Europe this week, and he received a pretty awesome gift as he swung through Poland. Prime Minister Donald Tusk presented the Commander-in-Chief with the collector's edition of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, developed in the country.

With the birth certificate nonsense over and Osama bin Laden dead, I'd say the President has earned some quality gaming time.

  • That is really, really awesome. I wish we could know what he thinks of it.
  • Nice!

  • Time for GI to get a guest review, Air Force 1 edition

  • LoL look at the pack man symbol on the laptop!
  • Wait so the president of poland plays witcher?

i could say a lot of things but i think it can all be summed up in a mental face palm.
  • And he loves it!

  • I wonder if the president even plays games, hmm?
  • Every developer should do this when the president visits their country. That would be awesome/hilarious/somewhat awkward for Australia since they're total p***ies when it comes to games.
  • Haa kewl the first president to receive a video game Have fun Obama
  • He should have a press conference to play it.
  • LOL! First it started with a DVD collection. The sequel was a video game. To complete this trilogy the Presidential gift giving, Obama must either give or receive an iTune gift card.
  • nice

  • Does obama even play video games? I mean, it's not like we can expect him to make time for them right now, but is it even an interest for him?
  • They should broadcast him playing it on C-Span lol.
  • Highly doubt he even plays the vidya. Pretty neat anyway, though.

Edit: It's almost as lame as when he gifted some European leader (forget which, sadly) DVDs that weren't compatible with that region's players.
  • That's really weird, but also kinda awesome. I wonder how Mr. Tusk made the decision to make that the gift he gave.
  • I wish I were the president.
  • I doubt the President would be playing the Witcher. I mean he has a Wii, I don't think the Witcher is up his alley. I would be pleasantly surprised if he did like it though.
  • He isn't the first to receive a video game as a present George W. got A DS lite for his 60th Birthday Straight from Nintendo of America
